RFK Racing is a NASCAR team that has been making a name for itself for over 50 years in one shape or another. It was orginially founded as Jack rousch Performance Engineering in 1976, and built engines for other racing teams

Then in 1984 there was a return to the SCCa and IMSA road racing series. It was a sucessful return claing 24 nation championships and winnign 119 races.

4 years later was the debut of the Roush NASCAR team, with legendary driver and Hall of Famer, Mark MArtin and the very next year marked their first win at the North Carolina speedway. The team went on to win 35 cup series races.

In 2007, Roush partnered with Fenway sports group and formed Roush Fenway racing, and most recently in 2021 when Brad Keselowski joined the team as a driver and an owner and the team renamed to RFK racing. ( which in case you hadn’t worked it out stands for Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing)

They currently run 2 cars in the NASCAR Cup series, the number 8 of Brad Keselowski and the number 17 of Chris Buescher.

At one point in the 1998 -2000 seasons Roush actually ran 5 teams and drivers in the NASCAR cup series more than even the huge players like Penske and Hendrick Motorsports. However after a return to four teams in the 2009 season it is now running the two cars above.

Although the team is smaller the chance they have are not, and with the focus of the two drivers with a lot of pedigree 2023 could be a surprise year for them.
